Hi!
The MAP of DNS Measurements contains an "Aggregator" option. Unfortunately the online help (Enter a regular expression ....) does not help much.
Is this feature somewhere described in detail? I do not understand it.
Thanks Klaus
Hello,
That feature came as a side-effect of the latest hackathon. It did not qualify for any prizes (because it was added by yours truly), but it may come handy in some cases. Its announcement was buried in a generic "Various usability fixes in measurement details, maps, ..." statement, which I'm fully to blame.
As for what it's for, compare this:
https://atlas.ripe.net/measurements/2255413/?filter=&diversity-picker=4&aggregator=#!map
with this:
... and the benefits will be hopefully visible.
Indeed. I already suspected such a feature, because I was in need for such a feature, but I failed to make a proper regexp without a working example. Finally I made it: https://atlas.ripe.net/measurements/3071123/?filter=&diversity-picker=4&aggregator=tld-tirol-%28...%29\d#!map But it is difficult to find out where a probe gets routed too, as the colors are sometimes quite similar. Thus it would be great to add the NSID to the probe details (as requested some days ago). Or even better: on "mouse over" a probe display the NSID (or the serial, depending on the choosen dataset). Thanks Klaus
