Apply for RIPE Fellowship by 6 April

Dear colleagues, Firstly, I want to share that we received 93 applications, a new record, for RACI for spring 2018! Thank you all for helping spread the word about the initiative. I will send a list of the winning applications next week. Secondly, I'd like to let you know that we're now accepting applications for the RIPE Fellowship at RIPE 76 in Marseille (14-18 May 2018). Application deadline is 6 April: www.ripe.net/fellowship The RIPE Fellowship covers the cost of a meeting ticket, travel and accommodation for successful candidates in the RIPE NCC service region. Just as a reminder - unlike RACI, the RIPE Fellowship is open to anyone, not just academics, therefore there is a larger pool of elibible applicants. Also, unlike RACI, accepted applicants do not present at the meeting. However, the RIPE Fellowship is still a great way to get involved with the RIPE Community. It would be especially interesting for students who do not have any research to present yet. If you know any, please let them know about this opportunity. Under the RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund, the RIPE NCC will provide up to EUR 250,000 per year to support projects of value to the operation and resilience of the Internet, with a focus on tools and services benefitting the technical community in the Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. IPv6 Hackathon and ENOG Fellowship

Dear colleagues, -------------- IPv6 HAckathon -------------- The sixth RIPE NCC hackathon will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 4-5 November in Copenhagen. The topic is: IPv6! We're looking for creative thinkers: front-end developers, UI designers, network operators, researchers, hackers and other enthusiastic coders, to help us develop new tools that would enable deployment of IPv6 and visualizations based on IPv6 measurements data. All source code developed during the hackathon will be publicly licensed and available on GitHub, and will be free for the entire community to use. Interested? RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund - Call for Selection Committee Nominations

Dear all, The RIPE NCC is proud to support the RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund, providing EUR 250,000 per year for projects supporting Internet resilience and operations. Projects will be selected by a committee comprised of a RIPE NCC Executive Board Member and three volunteers from the RIPE community. Volunteer for the selection committee! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you have a keen eye for emerging talents and innovative ideas? Would you like to shape the development of projects that will help the technical community? Please nominate yourself or someone you know to help decide which projects receive funding. *Nominations will be accepted until 16 September 2017* To apply, please send an email to <projectsfund(a)ripe.net> and include: - A brief introduction of yourself and your professional experience - What particular traits/insights you’d bring to the committee Committee members will need to commit to serving a minimum term of one year (and a maximum of three) to ensure continuity.
