Dear all, This is a final reminder to apply for funding to present your research at the next RIPE meeting (RIPE 74 in Budapest) via RACI. Successful applicants receive complimentary tickets, travel and accommodation to the meeting and the opportunity to present their research. The application deadline is end of this week! https://www.ripe.net/raci ---------------------- Examples of Relevant Topics ---------------------- - Network measurements and analyses - IPv6 deployment - BGP routing - Network security - Internet governance - Peering and interconnectivity - Internet of Things Academics from Eastern and South East Europe also have time to apply for ENOG 13 in St Petersburg (apply by 19 March 2017) and SEE 6 in Budva (apply by 9 April 2017). But I strongly recommend you to apply before 5 March, so you can be considered both for RIPE 74 and for these two meetings. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - Internet of Rights Fellowship - ARTICLE 19 The Internet is shaping our societies but who is shaping the development of the Internet? And what standards should this development be based on? The Internet of Rights Fellowship Program aims to facilitate stronger considerations for human rights within Internet governance processes and to shape the human rights agenda for the Internet. Currently, there is little diversity among participants in Internet governance proce sses, resulting in approaches to policymaking that are not open or inclusive. ARTICLE 19 seeks to effectively promote and protect key democratic values and increase the diversity of engagement within Internet governance forums, so that there is a greater pluralism of voices within these spaces that especially includes those that have been underrepresented until now. Over the course of this program, Fellows will be introduced to the technical and policy discussions across the Internet governance landscape, and will be trained to meaningfully develop human rights considerations within these discussions. As a result, Fellows will be well-equipped to continue developing a robust approach to human rights within these technical communities beyond the life of the program. The structure of the work will be very much based on training and mentoring while actively engaging in on-going Internet governance processes in the IEEE, ICANN, IETF and ITU. Can't afford to attend a RIPE Meeting? Apply for the RIPE Fellowship!

Hi all, Do you want to attend the next RIPE Meeting? But you don't have any research to present yet, so you cannot apply for RACI... In that case, give the RIPE Fellowship a try. This new program covers ticket, travel & accommodation for five applicants to attend the RIPE Meeting. This way we hope to make it easier for community members from the more remote parts of our service region to participate in the meetings.
