Dear colleagues, Consensus has been reached on 2023-04 "Add AGGREGATED-BY-LIR status for IPv4 PA assignments". This proposal aimed at introducing the AGGREGATED-BY-LIR status for IPv4 PA assignments to reduce LIR efforts in registration and maintenance. You can find the full proposal at: https://www.ripe.net/membership/policies/proposals/2023-04/ The new RIPE Document is called ripe-822 and is available at: https://www.ripe.net/publications/docs/ripe-822/ We estimate that this proposal will take around two months to fully implement. 2023-04 Last Call for Comments (Add AGGREGATED-BY-LIR status for IPv4 PA assignments)

Dear colleagues, Proposal 2023-04, "Add AGGREGATED-BY-LIR status for IPv4 PA assignments " is now in Concluding Phase. The goal of this proposal was to introduce the AGGREGATED-BY-LIR status for IPv4 PA assignments to reduce LIR efforts in registration and maintenance. The WG co-chairs have declared that rough consensus has been reached and the proposal will now move to Last Call. As per the RIPE Policy Development Process (PDP), the purpose of this four-week Concluding Phase is to give an opportunity to present well-justified objections for those who missed the previous two phases and wish to oppose the proposal. Any objection must be made before 9 April 2024 and must be supported by an explanation. If no substantive objections are raised by the end of Last Call, the proposal will complete the PDP and will be evaluated by the WG co-chairs for final consensus. Dear colleagues, The Address Policy WG Co-Chairs decided to extend by four more weeks the Review Phase for policy proposal 2023-04, “Add AGGREGATED-BY-LIR status for IPv4 PA assignments”. As per the RIPE Policy Development Process (PDP), the purpose of this Review Phase extension is to continue discussing the proposal taking the impact analysis into consideration, and to review the full draft RIPE Policy Document. At the end of the Review Phase, the Working Group (WG) Chairs will determine whether the WG has reached rough consensus. It is therefore important to provide your opinion, even if it is simply a restatement of your input from the previous phase. Dear colleagues, We are pleased to announce that we have implemented the RIPE Policy Proposal 2023-03 “Voluntary Transfer Lock”. The new policy allows the holders of resources registered with the RIPE NCC to inform the RIPE NCC that certain resources must not be transferred for a certain amount of time. Dear colleagues, Policy proposal 2023-04, “Add AGGREGATED-BY-LIR status for IPv4 PA assignments”, is now in the Review Phase. The goal of this proposal is to introduce the AGGREGATED-BY-LIR status for IPv4 PA assignments to reduce LIR efforts in registration and maintenance. This proposal has been updated and it is now at version 2.0. The proposed policy text did not change, the only difference is that the section "Arguments opposing the proposal" includes a reference to the last round of discussion. The RIPE NCC has prepared an impact analysis on this proposal to support the community’s discussion. Dear colleagues,   Consensus has been reached on 2023-03 "Voluntary Transfer Lock".   This policy proposal aimed to allow holders of resources registered with the RIPE NCC to inform the RIPE NCC that certain resources must not be transferred for a certain amount of time. In order to ensure a correct and consistent handling of requests, the current procedures remain in place until the implementation is completed. 2023-01 Policy Proposal Accepted and Implemented (Reducing IXP IPv4 assignment default size to a /26)

Dear colleagues, Consensus has been reached on 2023-01 “Reducing IXP IPv4 assignment default size to a /26”. This proposal modifies in the IPv4 Policy the default size of IPv4 assignments for IXPs from a /24 to /26 and clarifies the return of the assignments previously issued for the IXP peering LAN.
