RIPE NCC Service Interruption on 29 December
Dear Colleagues, [We are sorry for any duplicate mails you might receive] Early this morning we experienced a hardware failure with our network equipment at our office, between 02:45 and 06:10 UTC. Affected services were: - internal maildelivery to our ticketing systems were delayed - RIS website was unreachable - TTM online plots generation was not possible Our investigation has shown that the problem was a faulty interfacecard on one of our core switches. The immediate fix was to repatch affected servers onto another interfacecard. The long term solution is that we will replace this switch.
