Hi Alex, Didn't realise it was in the RIPE DB. Could you explain how to access this information? I.e. for a sample prefix of 193.242.111.0/24 and a sample ASN as2128, how does one query what LIR these numbers are registered through? thanks, Nick On 01/08/2012 15:46, Alex Band wrote:
Hello Nick, Gert,
All of this information is in the RIPE Database, which is what it's for; it's just not in this bulk representation. What you're requesting is not really straight forward to implement, and would require quite some resources to get done. Could you give us some context how you would want to use this data, and what you currently are not capable of doing using for example the RIPE Database?
Thanks,

The RIPE NCC maintains a list of what allocations are associated with what LIR in the following file:
ftp.ripe.net:/ripe/stats/membership/alloclist.txt
However, this file is limited to v4/v6 allocations only. There are no direct assignments (PI addresses), no ASNs or other number resources (e.g. ERX under contract, and so forth).
Would it be possible for the NCC to examine whether they could publish what LIR is associated with what number resource, for all the number resources they handle, not just allocations?
Yes, that would be nice.
Gert Doering -- NetMaster -- have you enabled IPv6 on something today...?
