when i go to an MS course or a Cisco course, I do not expect your company to partially fund my attendence. I fail to see how a newly trained LIR benefits me - anymore so than a newly trained CCIE in some place 1000km away might benefit me.

That is pretty much my doubt... it is assumed that each LIR only pays for the training of *its own* staff??? -- i expect to read a YES soon. If a LIR has *one* person during 5 years doing RIPE work, it is expected that this person will attend trainings every year? -- as a recycling process? Shouldnt one LIR get a free registration to a meeting if anybody goes to training during a certain period? -- free registrations are provided to new LIRs, if im not mistaken...
