Dear colleagues, A new RIPE Atlas feature is now available to RIPE NCC members: Quick Look measurements. Members can use this service for a quick, real-time assessment of connectivity without hosting a RIPE Atlas probe. This feature is based on one-off measurements that are available to all RIPE Atlas probe hosts. Hello. I went to read the Impact Analysis just this afternoon, and was shocked at the incomplete and confusing state of the relevant pages on the RIPE NCC web site. I feel it's appropriate to call "false start" on the current Review Phase, and to have the clock re-started when these pages have been put right. Three versions of the proposal have been announced: v1.0 on 27 Aug 2012, v2.0 on 24 Jan 2013, and v3.0 on 25 Apr 2013 (by Marco's message quoted and commented on below). PDP stuff

Hi NCCS! :-) As you probably have noticed your WG chair job responsibilities are shifting since there are active PDP policy proposals in your WG. It seems you forgot to put those proposals on your agenda :-) If you need help/advice/guidance/etc on running PDP stuff please don't hesitate to ask those of us who have more experience. I was just talking with Gert about Erik Bais' new proposal about asking the NCC to do resource certification for non-members: “Resource Certification for organizations who are not RIPE NCC members”. Which WG does this belong in? The previous certification policy proposals have been in AP, but people have asked me why they were in AP instead of in NCCS. This new proposal is again on the border between our WGs. What do you think? And do you feel up to taking on this proposal or would you prefer us to handle it? It is one of those proposals that might be easy, or it might need a lot of guidance behind the scenes (guidance of the proposer that is, we don't do back-room deals ;-) Sorry if I seem to be involving myself too much in your WG, but the stuff in NCCS is important to the community and we can't afford to let things slip here. I would ask the NCC to please clarify the intention of this sentence, and note that https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/resource-management/independent-resources… does specify a notice period of 3 months for termination of the IR contract, otherwise we're looking at a case of Breach of Contract. For the record and the avoidance of doubt: I still oppose this proposal for the above mentioned reason. Certifying of PI End User Address Space

Hey Andrew, I was hoping PI-space would eventually be coverd by RPKI. As a PI-space holder, who is not a RIPE NCC member, I would prefer option 2. Since the sponsoring LIR (in our case Deutsche Telekom) already has a contractual relationship with the RIPE NCC, this seems to be the straightforward approach. Option 3 is also okay although I understand the issue of non-members benefiting of RIPE-NCC services. If it comes to that, I am prepared to pay a fee as well ;-) Regards, Markus de Brün
