Test users for reimplemented asused (IP address usage analysis)

The RIPE NCC is working on reimplementing the webasused (http://bit.ly/AzZh59) and asused (http://bit.ly/zA5jtd) functionality. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of your IPv4 and IPv6 address space, listing the assignments made, free space, overlaps, invalids and all other relevant information. Initially this will be offered in the LIR Portal web interface. After that we will also provide the ability to process the information locally so it can integrate in your IP address management workflows. In the first iteration, we will show your address space, the assignments you have made, and how much free space you have. We're looking for volunteers who are willing to test and provide feedback on the first beta of this functionality. We also want to hear what additional functionality is most important to you, so we can prioritse our roadmap further. With your input we can make this toolset as useful as possible. MD5 Password Security Update Deployed

Dear colleagues, [Apologies for duplicate emails.] The RIPE NCC is pleased to announce that the implementation of the MD5 password security change has now been fully deployed. This was discussed recently on the RIPE Database Working Group mailing list. The RIPE NCC was asked to implement the technical change as outlined in this RIPE Labs article: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/denis/securing-md5-hashes-in-the-ripe-database This deployment has an impact only when you modify a MNTNER object that contains an MD5 password. This can only be done using Webupdates. You must be one of the password holders to make changes. Operations on all other object types are unchanged. The RIPE NCC will now: - Send emails to contact addresses in all MNTNER objects containing MD5 passwords recommending a password change and suggesting that a strong password be used - Perform a small MNTNER clean-up by preparing a list of unreferenced MNTNER objects and deleting those that are still unreferenced one month later. If you have not followed this discussion, we recommend that you read the RIPE Labs article to ensure that you understand the new process for maintaining MNTNER objects in the RIPE Database. New Standard Service Agreement

This makes the old SSA obsolete. The following documents have been updated to incorporate the new SSA: - ripe-541, "Closure of LIR and deregistration of Internet Number Resources". RIPE NCC RPKI Validator 2.0 released

We are proud to announce the release of the RIPE NCC RPKI Validator 2.0. This is a comprehensive open-source toolset for Resource Certification (RPKI) validation, enabling network operators to make better routing decisions based on RPKI data. LIR Portal Security Advisory

Dear colleagues, There is currently a security issue with the RIPE NCC Access sign-on system when used in combination with the LIR Portal. The issue relates to previous login credentials being applied to current users. There is therefore a small chance that a user will arrive at a previous user's login session. The issue only occurs when the same machine and the same browser session is used to log in to the LIR Portal. In the meantime, to ensure this issue does not occur, please quit your browser after logging out of the LIR Portal. We will notify you as soon as the issue is resolved.
