RIPE Database CRYPT-PW Deprecation Project

[Apologies for duplicate e-mails] Dear colleagues, As agreed at the RIPE 53 Database Working Group session, the use of CRYPT-PW authentication method for MAINTAINER object passwords is no longer available and has been removed from the RIPE Database. In addition all CRYPT-PW auth: lines have been removed from existing MAINTAINER objects. All users affected by this change have been notified by separate e-mail sent to each MAINTAINER object contact e-mail address. If your MAINTAINER object used the CRYPT-PW authentication only, it has been locked by replacing the passwords with a randomly generated MD5-PW password. If your maintainer object used an authentication method other than CRYPT-PW, only the CRYPT-PW auth: lines have been removed. It is still possible to query all of your objects. We have provided a web form for you to enter your MAINTAINER name and the old CRYPT-PW cleartext password. This will unlock your MAINTAINER object by replacing the randomly generated password with an MD5-PW encrypted version of your original cleartext password. If your MAINTAINER object previously used CRYPT-PW with other forms of authentication, you can still use this script to add a new MD5-PW to replace the deleted CRYPT-PW. In either case, you will continue to have access to your MAINTAINER object with the same cleartext password. Delays to DNSMON service

[Apologies for duplicate e-mails] Dear Colleagues, On Thursday, 15 February users of dnsmon.ripe.net may experience a slower response time for certain plots and unavailability of long-term, pre-generated plots. This is due to a problem with updating the DNSMON software that occurred on Wednesday, 14 February at 15:00 UTC. Recent delays in e-mail responses from the RIPE NCC

[Apologies for duplicate e-mails] Dear Colleagues, Over the past 24 hours, some users have been experiencing delays in receiving responses from RIPE NCC mail robots, including <auto-dbm(a)ripe.net> and <hostmaster(a)ripe.net>. The delays were caused by a large number of inetnum registrations that were submitted over a short period of time and slowed our mail system. The situation has been resolved and all the requests submitted have now been processed. Strange delays in RIPE mail

Hi! I'm experiencing strange delays in responses to my mail to RIPE robots (auto-dbm(a)ripe.net as well as hostmaster(a)ripe.net) up to one hour instead of usual just couple of seconds. It was started from today morning and continues up to now. And it is not mine mail queue - as I can see in my mail logs, letters is accepted by RIPE mail server immediately after I send it. Update on LIR Portal Outage
