Dear Subscribers, At approximately 20.15 GMT on 28 September 2004, an e-mail containing a virus was posted to the ncc-services-wg mailing list. The message with the subject "Re: Hi" was sent to the list with forged headers, including a valid subscriber's e-mail address (Adrian(a)ripe.net), and therefore accepted and distributed by the mail list software. We urge you not to open the attachment ("price.scr"). The posting will be removed from the mail list archives. We are currently analysing the incident in order to prevent this from happening again We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. Dear Andreas, Thank you for your email. However, the new contract is only available in English and won't be translated in any other language. Further, the RIPE NCC only communicates in English with its members. Joint Evaluation of Requests by The RIPE NCC and AfriNIC

[Apologies for duplicate postings] Dear Colleagues, The RIPE NCC has been working very closely with AfriNIC (The African Network Information Center) to prepare for their emergence as a new Regional Internet Registry. As part of this transition process, the RIPE NCC and AfriNIC will conduct joint review of all IP and AS Number requests coming from the emerging AfriNIC region. Effective September 1, 2004, the RIPE NCC will be forwarding all requests for IP address space and Autonomous System Numbers to AfriNIC, if the request is within the defined region proposed for AfriNIC. These requests will be co-evaluated by the RIPE NCC and AfriNIC.
