Dear colleagues, A new RIPE Policy proposal, 2023-03, ‘Voluntary Transfer Lock,’ has just been published for community discussion. The purpose of this proposal is to allow holders of resources registered with the RIPE NCC to lock the transfer of these resources for a certain amount of time. You can read the full RIPE Policy proposal at: https://www.ripe.net/participate/policies/proposals/2023-03 As we shared in our message on 30 December[1], we have already implemented a ‘voluntary registry lock’ feature that is accessible through the LIR Portal for those who need this option immediately. However, this feature is only available temporarily. If you would like a transfer lock option to remain available, share your comments on the proposal on the RIPE NCC Services Working Group mailing list.
