What We’re Doing for You ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————— -- Your LIR Stats LIR STATISTICS Number of LIRs: 24,002 (+676) LIRs with IPv6: 15,459 (+262) Policy transfers in July: 419,328 IPv4 addresses (-209,408) -- RIPE NCC General Meeting October 2019 The next RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) will take place from 16-18 October 2019 in the Postillion Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam, Rotterdam, alongside the RIPE 79 Meeting. Our trainers are visiting many new cities within our service region, from Helsinki to Doha. Find out when we will be in your town this year, or when you can join us online for a webinar. The updated training schedule covers courses until 10 December, and you can find the list at: https://lirportal.ripe.net/training/courses -- Waiting List After IPv4 runout The RIPE community has accepted a policy change concerning procedures once the RIPE NCC IPv4 pool has been depleted. Once the waiting list is active, we can provide /24 allocations to LIRs that have never received IPv4 allocations from the RIPE NCC. The waiting list will be run on a first-come-first-served basis and you can read about the accepted proposal at: https://www.ripe.net/publications/docs/ripe-725 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. What’s Happening in Our Community? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Community Projects Fund Deadline Fast Approaching The deadline to submit your project for funding is only two weeks away. If your project works for the stability and resilience of the Internet, you could be eligible for funding. Take a look at: https://www.ripe.net/support/cpf/ripe-ncc-community-projects-fund -- Policy Proposals Need Your Input We need your input on two policy proposals that have moved to the next phase of the Policy Development Process (PDP). One policy suggests extending the IPv4 pool for IXPs to a /15 (currently it is /16). The second one suggests deleting a non-authoritative object stored in the RIPE IRR if it conflicts with an RPKI ROA.
