[news] Handling LIR Closure Requests
Dear members, With 2024 just two months away, we'd like to offer some guidance to those of you who are considering closing your LIR accounts. To avoid receiving an invoice for 2024, you can: - Make a valid request to close your LIR account before the end of 2023. - Request the closure of an LIR account due to a policy transfer or a change in business structure before the end of the year. This request must be made with all the necessary information and documentation, and you must confirm your intent to close the account in the request. - Ensure that for policy transfers, the resources are transferable at the time of the request. Automated invoices will be corrected for valid requests received before 31 December 2023, even if the requests have not been finalised by that date. We kindly ask you to submit your closure requests, policy transfers and notifications of any changes in your business structure as soon as possible. Timely submissions are highly appreciated as they help us manage our workload effectively. Additionally, submitting these requests early will ensure you do not receive automated invoices in Q1 2024. This not only streamlines administrative processes for both you and us, but also allows us to process your requests more quickly.
