PHISHING SCAM EMAILS TARGETING PAYPAL USERS Please be aware of phishing scam emails targeting PayPal users that appear to be originating from the RIPE NCC (paypal@ripe.net). Be advised that these emails were *not* sent by the RIPE NCC. If you have received such emails, we advise you to delete them. RPKI VALIDATOR 3.0 At RIPE 76, we announced the beta release of the RIPE NCC RPKI Validator 3.0. This is a new version of our open-source toolset for Resource Certification (RPKI) validation. More information can be found at: https://github.com/RIPE-NCC/rpki-validator-3/wiki PHASING OUT THE IP ANALYSER We'll be removing the IP Analyser from the LIR Portal in the coming weeks because the My Resources area of the portal now provides that functionality and more. RIPE ATLAS ANCHOR VIRTUAL MACHINES The RIPE NCC's pilot program to explore the pros and cons for including Virtual Machines (VMs) in the pool of RIPE Atlas anchors is still ongoing, with five anchor VMs currently up and running. THE END OF THE LAST /8 On 17 April 2018, we allocated the last available block of 1,024 addresses in 185/8 - the last /8 we received from IANA back in 2011. UPSTREAM VISIBILITY In a joint venture with Roma Tre University, we developed a new RIPEstat widget that allows you to see the upstreams/peers through which a prefix is seen by RIS. BROADBAND DATA PROVIDED BY SPEEDCHECKER With the import of new data from Speedchecker's measurement platform, RIPEstat now provides an extensive collection of broadband measurement data ranging from January 2011 to April 2018.
