[GM] RIPE NCC Executive Board Open Houses: 16 and 17 May, 9:00 UTC (11:00 CEST)
Dear RIPE NCC members, The RIPE NCC will hold two Open House events relating to the RIPE NCC Executive Board next week on 16 and 17 May. Both will last 90 minutes, and both will begin at 09:00 UTC (11:00 CEST). Requirements and Expectations for RIPE NCC Executive Board Members and Candidates The first of these sessions, on 16 May, will be an opportunity for members to discuss an issue noted at the 165th Board meeting held earlier this year: requirements for Board members and candidates. The Board discussed this issue during the meeting and decided that it wanted to explore it further with the membership whose interests it is charged with representing. More information on this issue and the Board’s discussion of it, as well as the registration link, can be found at: https://www.ripe.net/participate/meetings/open-house/ripe-ncc-open-house-req... Meet the Executive Board Candidates The second session will be the traditional opportunity for Board candidates in the upcoming election to introduce themselves to the membership and explain why they are standing for election and answer any questions the members might have for them. Details of the candidates and the session can be found here: https://www.ripe.net/participate/meetings/open-house/ripe-ncc-open-house-mee... If you plan to attend either of these events we ask that you please register at the URLs above. The meetings will be held via Meetecho, and all attendees wishing to speak will have the opportunity to do so. All those who register will receive a link to the Meetecho platform by email on the days of the Open Houses. Register for the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) The election for three seats on the RIPE NCC Executive Board will take place at the upcoming GM from 24-26 May. All members are encouraged to register to attend and cast their votes for the candidates they think will best represent their interest on the Board. There is also an Executive Board Candidates mailing list where you can ask questions of the candidates. You can subscribe to the mailing list from: https://www.ripe.net/participate/mail/ripe-ncc-mailing-lists/executive-board... All information on the GM is available from: https://www.ripe.net/participate/meetings/gm/meetings/may-2023 And you can register directly for the GM from the LIR Portal: https://my.ripe.net/#/meetings/active We look forward to your participation in these important events for the RIPE NCC and its members.
