Dear colleagues, RIPE 62 is happening soon, on 2-6 May 2011 at the NH Krasnapolsky hotel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. -------------------------------------- Meeting Plan -------------------------------------- Click on the RIPE 62 meeting plan to see the posted agenda details: http://ripe62.ripe.net/programme/meeting-plan -------------------------------------- Important Information about Dutch Public Events -------------------------------------- We'd also like to inform you about the following public events taking place before and during RIPE 62. - Queens Day (Koninginnedag), Saturday 30 April If you are arriving in Amsterdam on Saturday, 30 April, you'll experience one of Europe's largest street parties. However, *trams running from Amsterdam's Central Station will be limited* on this day and it will be impossible to get through the centre of the city by tram, bus or taxi. If you are staying in the city centre, be prepared to walk to your hotel on this day. - Remembrance Day (Herdenkingsdag), Wednesday 4 May At 20:00 on Wednesday 4 May, the Netherlands falls silent for two minutes. This event is strictly observed throughout the entire country. A ceremony attended by the Queen also takes place on Dam Square right in front of the meeting venue. From 19:45 - 20:30, the front doors of the Hotel Krasnapolsky will be out of use and you will need to use the back entrance of the hotel to get in and out during this time.
