Dear RIPE NCC members, As Chairman of the RIPE NCC Executive Board, I am asking that you assist the Board in formulating the principles of the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme. In May, we presented on this topic at the General Meeting (GM)[1], and now we want to build on that discussion by consulting with you on the core principles that we should incorporate in our charging schemes for the coming years. To that end, we ask you to complete a survey on the charging scheme that will let us know where the membership stands on some key principles. We expect that in some cases there will not be a clear answer, but we may be able to identify some key principles that most members want to see us apply to the charging scheme. The survey is available to take until 14 September at: https://www.ripe.net/participate/forms/apply/charging-scheme-survey-2021/ Note: you will need to log-in to a RIPE NCC Access account that is associated with an LIR to complete the survey. We will also announce an Open House session in September where the Board will be available to discuss the charging scheme model with members. The Executive Board will examine the results of the survey at its Executive Board meeting on 23 September. We will then bring our analysis and a proposal to the membership at the GM in November.
