IPv4 Addresses Transferred in May: 651,904 (-504,064)


-- RIPE NCC and the Cloud: Let’s Start Again
Ahead of RIPE 82, we shared our plans to move elements of our core services to the cloud. Judging from the community’s reaction to our proposal, we can see now that it’s worth taking a step back and start this conversation again:

-- Closure of Members With Unpaid Invoices
On 15 June, we started to terminate the Standard Service Agreements (SSAs) of members that hadn't paid their invoices. This comes 90 says after the due date of the invoice and 120 days after it was first issued.

Members in Syria and Iran were not affected by this, as they have yet to receive their 2021 invoices. We sent an update to these members directly, which explained that the situation is largely unchanged since our last email:

For the fifth year in a row, the RIPE NCC is committing to support activities and projects for 'the good of the Internet'. We are pleased to invite applications for funding from the RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund. The call for applicants will remain open until 23:59 (UTC), Saturday, 31 July 2021. 2. Your Technical Update
-- Ending Support for the RIPE NCC RPKI Validator
On Thursday, 1 July 2021, we will stop supporting the RIPE NCC RPKI Validator. This will have no impact on any of our core activities around the Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI):

--- RIPEstat Feature Tracker Restarted
The RIPEstat feature tracker has been updated. After contacting everyone who had a pending feature request, we cleaned out all old requests and put new processes in place in order to provide a better service:

--- New RIPEstat UI Updates
Since launching the new RIPEstat UI, we have released new updates and fixed bugs based on user feedback:

--- RIPEstat Blocklist Project
We are going to start with the overhaul of the blocklist offerings on RIPEstat. As part of this project, we will be working with an expert panel, which is currently being formed. If you want to participate and support us, please send an email to christian.teuschel@ripe.net.

-- NRO Updates
--- Request for Proposals for Consulting Services: NRO Strategy Plan Review
The Number Resource Organization (NRO) is calling for proposals for an independent review of its Strategy Plan for the next five years.

Proposals will be accepted until 9 July 2021 23:59 UTC. The selected bid will be announced around 23 July 2021. Full details of the Call for Proposals are available at:

--- ASO AC Selects Alan Barrett to Serve in Seat 9 of the ICANN Board of Directors
The ASO AC has selected Alan Barrett to serve for a three-year term in Seat 9 of the ICANN Board of Directors. His term will begin at the conclusion of the ICANN 72 meeting on 23-28 October 2021 and will end in November 2024. Read more here:
