Dear colleagues, At the General Meeting on 26 September 2012, the RIPE NCC membership voted to approve the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2013 - Option A. Members voted on three options, with Option A receiving the most votes from the membership. The RIPE NCC and its Executive Board welcomes the clear decision from the membership on this Charging Scheme model. It offers clarity for members regarding their fees and will ensure financial stability for the RIPE NCC in the years ahead. There are two main features of the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2013 that differ from the previous model: - There are no membership categories - each member will pay the same fee for each LIR they hold - Direct Assignment Users, as well as non-members that are charged fees for services such as DNSMON and NRTM, must become RIPE NCC members paying the same standard fee per LIR as other members All RIPE NCC members will be charged an annual fee of EUR 1,800 for each LIR they hold. The separate charge of EUR 50 per Provider Independent number resource assignment will be continued. Invoices will be sent according to the payment schedule members have agreed with the RIPE NCC. The RIPE NCC will contact Direct Assignment Users and non-members who pay fees for RIPE NCC services to begin the process of inviting them to become RIPE NCC members. All RIPE NCC members will also be entitled to free use of services such as DNSMON and NRTM from 1 January 2013. Update: Service interruptions

Dear colleagues, All external services have been restored. The RIPE NCC experienced a major network failure due to a malfunctioning load balancer that has now been replaced. With the cause isolated, a thorough review is being conducted and a detailed report will be posted in the coming week to RIPE Labs. RIPE NCC General Meeting September 2012

Dear members, The RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) was held 26-27 September 2012 adjacent to the RIPE 65 Meeting in Amsterdam. There were 124 attendees, excluding RIPE NCC staff and observers from the other Regional Internet Registries (RIRs). There were three resolutions on the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2013 to be voted on at the GM. The resolutions are available at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/september-2012/documents The results of the voting on the GM resolutions were as follows: Resolution 1: The General Meeting adopts the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2013 – Option A. Yes – 197 No – 105 Abstain – 11 Option A passed and will be adopted as the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2013. This meant that the voting on options B and C was not taken into consideration. The results of the voting on these options was as follows: Resolution 2: The General Meeting adopts the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2013 – Option B. Yes – 124 No – 148 Abstain – 39 Resolution 3: The General Meeting adopts the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2013 – Option C. RIPE NCC General Meeting: Registration and Voting

Dear members, The RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) September 2012 takes place this Wednesday, 26 September at 18:00 in the Okura Hotel Amsterdam. Registration ------------ You can register to attend the meeting until 16:00 on Wednesday: http://www.ripe.net/gm-sept2012/registration All those who register to attend can pick up their meeting packs from the GM Registration Desk at the Okura from 10:00-16:00 UTC +2 on Wednesday. Those who will vote using paper ballots can also pick up their voting cards during this time. Electronic Voting ----------------- All members should have received an invitation to vote electronically on the GM resolutions. The deadline to register for electronic voting is tomorrow, 25 September, at 14:00 UTC +2. If you wish to register for electronic voting, you must register in the BigPulse system using the link in the email invitation. You must the email <agm(a)ripe.net> with a copy of your photographic identification to confirm your registration. If you sent identification for a previous GM, you do not need to send it again. LIR Portal APIs to simplify your IP Address Management

Dear colleagues, Over the last couple of months we have been working on the IP Analyser in the LIR Portal. The application is currently still in beta, but it is proving to be very popular with over 20,000 page views since the launch. This week we have released an update to the API for the IP Analyser, in order to help you simply your local IP address management. It means the following is now available: The My Resources API: Access all registry information about your resources in JSON or XML format, including ASNs, IPv4 and IPv6 allocations, Assignment Window history, PI assignments, Legacy space, etc. The IP Analyser API: Access all information about your IPv4 assignments, available free space and invalid assignments that require your attention, in JSON or plain text format. The plain text output uses the same formatting as the asused tool, that many of you are familiar with. It also means that you no longer need to contact RIPE NCC Registration Services if you would like to have an overview of your invalid assignments. Before we make this a production service, we would really appreciate your input on this functionality; especially on the new JSON format for the IP Analyser. If there is anything missing or you would like to have changed, we can take it along in our planning and roadmap. There is also an opportunity to provide feedback in the NCC Services WG session at RIPE 65. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be expanding the IP Analyser UI, and add more IPv6 information.
