Dear colleagues, I am happy to announce that the following Independent Internet number resources are now eligible for Resource Certification (RPKI): - IPv4 and IPv6 Provider Independent, listed in your LIR Portal account as "INFRA" - IPv4 and IPv6 Anycast, listed in your LIR Portal account as "INFRA" You can now create Route Origin Authorisations (ROAs) for the BGP announcements with this address space. Pay careful attention that *all* BGP announcements with your prefixes are RPKI VALID. You can verify this in the "My ROA Specifications" tab of the Resource Certification portal, under "Current BGP announcements". Please visit http://ripe.net/certification for more information. RIPE NCC Annual Report 2011 - Options for Members

Dear members, The RIPE NCC Annual Report 2011 will be published online on 21 March 2012. In previous years, all RIPE NCC members were sent a copy of the Annual Report by post. This year, members need to "opt in" if they wish to receive a copy of the Annual Report by post. Members who do not choose to opt in will not receive the Annual Report by post. It will, as always, be available for all members to read online. The RIPE NCC is implementing this opt-in system in response to feedback received from members in the RIPE NCC Membership and Stakeholder Survey 2011, the RIPE NCC General Meetings and various other feedback mechanisms. The goals of this initiative are to: - Reduce RIPE NCC costs - Be more environmentally friendly - Allow members to control their communication options If you wish to receive the Annual Report by post, you must opt in to do so by 29 February 2012. RIPE NCC Activity Plan and Budget 2012 Published

Dear members, The RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) November 2011 saw valuable discussion regarding the RIPE NCC Budget 2012 and the RIPE NCC Activity Plan 2012. The minutes of that GM are now posted at: http://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/november-2011/minutes The Budget and Activity Plan are also published as RIPE Documents: https://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-544/at_download/pdf https://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-543/at_download/pdf At the GM, the membership raised concerns regarding the Budget 2012 and rejected the proposed RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2012. In light of this, the Executive Board has reduced by 2% the Budget 2012 that was presented to members at the GM. Please note that this will not result in the reduction of any core services to members. Discussion of the Activity Plan at the GM centred on the lack of costs for services contained in that document. The revised Activity Plan 2012 now contains the costs for key services provided by the RIPE NCC. The Executive Board will work with the RIPE NCC's Senior Management to further develop the RIPE NCC Budget and Activity Plan, and to more closely align the two documents. We on the Executive Board, as always, welcome the feedback we receive from members on these issues. New Standard Service Agreement

[Apologies for duplicate emails] Dear Colleagues, At the recent RIPE NCC General Meeting held on 3 November 2011, the members voted to adopt the proposed new RIPE NCC Standard Service Agreement (SSA). This makes the old SSA obsolete. The following documents have been updated to incorporate the new SSA: - ripe-541, "Closure of LIR and deregistration of Internet Number Resources". The term 'Contributors' has been replaced by the term 'Members', all references to the RIPE NCC Standard Terms and Conditions have been removed and sections A.1.2.1 and A.1.2.2 have been amended according to article 9.4.h-j of the new SSA: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-541 - ripe-539. "Clearing House Procedure". RIPE NCC RPKI Validator 2.0 released

We are proud to announce the release of the RIPE NCC RPKI Validator 2.0. This is a comprehensive open-source toolset for Resource Certification (RPKI) validation, enabling network operators to make better routing decisions based on RPKI data.
