RIPE NCC Executive Board Election Results

[Apologies for duplicates] Dear Colleagues, The RIPE NCC General Meeting May 2008 was held Wednesday, 7 May 2008, adjacent to the RIPE 56 Meeting, at the Palace Hotel in Berlin. The meeting agenda included an election to fill two RIPE NCC Executive Board seats for three-year terms. Fahad AlShirawi and Andreas Wittkemper were voted onto the Board, replacing Kees Neggers and Jim Reid. There were 111 attendees excluding RIPE NCC staff and observers from the other Regional Internet Registries. In addition to the Executive Board election, the RIPE NCC members approved three resolutions. The RIPE NCC 2007 Audited Financial Report was approved. Jaap Akkerhuis, Remko van Mook and Olaf Kolkman were appointed to the panel of RIPE NCC arbiters. And the RIPE NCC Executive Board was discharged with regard to its actions as set out in the 2007 Annual Report. The RIPE NCC would like to thank its membership for the input and support given at the General Meeting and congratulates our newly elected Executive Board members. Dear RIPE NCC member, The RIPE NCC Executive Board is pleased to invite you to the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM). The GM will be held on Wednesday, 7 May 2008 from 16:00-18:30. It will be held adjacent to the RIPE 56 Meeting, which takes place from 5-9 May 2008 at the Hotel Palace in Berlin, Germany. The closing date for both online registration and for submitting proxy forms is *Wednesday, 23 April 2008*. REGISTRATION ------------ You can register to attend the GM at: https://lirportal.ripe.net/lirportal/meeting/registration-general/meeting.h… Please complete the online registration form by Wednesday, 23 April 2008. After this date you will not be able to register online for the GM. In the event that your organisation is to be represented by a director or an authorised employee, the registration form should state the name(s) of the employee(s) or director(s). [Apologies for duplicates] Dear Colleagues, The RIPE NCC will migrate a number of servers to new racks at NIKHEF between 08:00 and 18:00 (UTC) on the following dates: - Saturday, 12 April 2008 - Sunday, 13 April 2008 Aspects of the following services will be affected at various times during the migration periods: - BGP peering sessions will be down - nikrtr.ripe.net - AS3333 (217.79.172.5; 195.69.144.69; 2001:7f8:1::a500:3333:1) - K-Root (AS25152) at AMS-IX, NL-IX and XPE - AS112 (AS112) at AMS-IX - RIS (AS12654) at AMS-IX, NL-IX and GN-IX - DNS services: - The AMS-IX/XPE/NL-IX K-Root instance and the AS112 server at AMS-IX will be unavailable - WWW/FTP/Hostcount/E-Learning - LIR-Portal - WHOIS: - Syncupdates of the RIPE Database will be down - Mail updates will be queued and executed after the maintenance - RIPE DB-related CGIs on WWW will be down - Test Traffic Measurements (tt01) We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
