Per our plan for our cloud strategy, we have now published an information security framework that will guide our choice of cloud service providers. We will use it to assess whether cloud providers meet the security requirements for our services. You can read the framework at:

We have released our updated IPv6 Fundamentals e-learning course in the RIPE NCC Academy. The course now has a new look and has been aligned with the IPv6 Fundamentals - Analyst Certified Professionals exam. See the new course at:

-- RIPE Community Session on Revised PDP
There was a RIPE community session on 26 January to discuss the proposed revisions to the PDP. These revisions were put forth in April 2021 and presented at RIPE 83. The community had the opportunity in this session to share their feedback on the revised document. More information is available at:

4. Organisational Update
-- Q1 2022 Quarterly Planning Published
We have now published our Q1 2022 plans for our development teams. Our quarterly planning includes the work we will be carrying out in the next few months in RPKI, the RIPE Database and our business applications, including the LIR Portal, Registry Services and other applications. We now also include plans from our Learning and Development team for our e-learning courses, webinars and Certified Professionals exams. These are available at:

-- Quarterly Sanctions Transparency Report Published
We have published our Quarterly Sanctions Transparency Report. This quarterly report provides data on how RIPE NCC members, End Users and legacy resource holders are affected by sanctions. The report is available at:

-- RIPE NCC Billing Procedure 2022 Published
We have now published the RIPE NCC Billing Procedure 2022. You can refer to this document to see how your annual contribution will be calculated or to find payment information. We are now preparing members’ invoices for this year per our new Billing Procedure and will send them out between the end of Q1 and the beginning of Q2 2022. You can find the document at:

We hope to see more network operators following best practices and developing their understanding of IPv6 policies through the course.
The course consists of interactive modules and activities which help learners apply concepts using tools and realistic scenarios.

IPv6 Fundamentals - Analyst Exam

You can earn this certification by taking the online exam under the supervision of a live proctor. You can see your results as soon as you complete the exam and, if you pass, you'll earn a verifiable digital badge.
This IPv6 Fundamentals Analyst exam certifies the ability to:
• Identify the advantages of IPv6 deployment
• Write an IPv6 address according to the current best practices
• Identify the scope of the different IPv6 address types
• Calculate IPv6 subnets
• Identify the different IPv6-related protocols
• Identify the different characteristics and security concerns of the IPv6 protocol
• Create an IPv6 addressing plan
• Recognise the application of specific IPv6 transition mechanisms
