[service] Planned Maintenance for Redesigned Website Launch

Dear colleagues, We have been hard at work getting our redesigned website ready for the launch next week, and are now in the final stages of the project. We've published a series of articles about the project and the latest one, which focuses on the new visual design, is now available on RIPE Labs: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/adam_castle/redesigning-the-ripe-ncc-website-… In order to make the switch to the new site, we have scheduled maintenance on Monday, 13 April from 5:30 - 7:30 UTC to work on the server infrastructure behind www.ripe.net. We don’t expect this work to impact visitors to the site, but there may be occasional disruptions during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Beginning Monday, we hope you will take the opportunity to visit the new site and explore some of the new features. Once we have successfully switched over all applications and related websites to the new template, we will send another announcement. [news] Phase 1 of Deprecation of "changed:" Attribute Deployed to RIPE Database Release Candidate Environment

Dear colleagues, The RIPE Database Working Group has asked the RIPE NCC to replace the “changed:” attribute in the RIPE Database with “created:” and “last-modified:”. We want to inform the wider community, in case you have any feedback you would like to share with the Database WG. Following discussions at RIPE 69, we met with the WG chairs and finalised an implementation plan consisting of three phases: 1) Introduce the new attributes “created:” and “last-modified:” 2) Make the "changed:" attribute optional 3) Deprecate the "changed:" attribute Details of this implementation plan can be found here: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/tim/deprecating-the-changed-attribute-in-the-… <https://labs.ripe.net/Members/tim/deprecating-the-changed-attribute-in-the-…> We recently informed the Database WG that Phase 1 of this implementation had been deployed to the Release Candidate environment. [GM] RIPE NCC Charging Scheme and ASNs

Dear Colleagues, The RIPE NCC Executive Board met last night to review the discussions regarding charging for AS Numbers. We feel that there was no really conclusive outcome to the discussion, so we will ask members to vote on the issue at the General Meeting (GM) on the 13th of May 2015. There will therefore be two resolutions on charging at the GM: - Members will be asked to vote to approve or reject the Charging Scheme 2016 that was published on 24 March: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/may-2015/supporting-documents - Members will also be asked to vote to approve or reject a resolution that would instantiate a EUR 50 charge per ASN The figure of EUR 50 was chosen to be equal to that for PI allocations, in the spirit of 2007-01. All supporting documents and the final agenda will be posted by the RIPE NCC on the 15th of April. We would like to thank all those who contributed to the recent discussion. We will continue to monitor the members-discuss mailing list should you wish to continue the discussion there.
