Dear colleagues,
The ninth annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is currently taking place in Istanbul and will run from 2 - 5 September 2014. At this meeting, thousands of participants from governments, the private sector, the technical community, civil society and international organisations from around the world have gathered to discuss a range of issues relating to the Internet.
As part of this, we would like to highlight that on 5 September, from 9:30 - 11:00 (UTC+3), there will be a session entitled: “IANA Functions: NTIA’s Stewardship Transition and ICANN’s Accountability Process.” This session is a part of the ongoing process to develop a plan for transitioning the NTIA’s oversight function to the global Internet community. As key stakeholders, it is important that the RIPE community is informed of these discussions and has its voice heard.
