RIPE NCC General Meeting April 2012

Dear members, The RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) was held 18-19 April 2012 adjacent to the RIPE 64 Meeting in Ljubljana. There were 99 attendees, excluding RIPE NCC staff and observers from the other Regional Internet Registries (RIRs). There were two resolutions to be voted on at the GM. The results of voting on the resolutions were as follows: Resolution 1: The General Meeting adopts the 2011 Financial Report of the RIPE NCC. Yes 270 No 5 Abstain 28 Resolution 2: The General Meeting discharges the Executive Board with regard to its actions as they appear from the Annual Report 2011. Yes 244 No 12 Abstain 45 There was also an election to fill one seat on the RIPE NCC Executive Board. The results of the election were as follows: First Count: Dmitry Burkov 174 Ulf Kieber 85 Dmitry Kohmanyuk 44 Dmitry Burkov was elected and retained his seat on the Executive Board. Dear RIPE NCC members, The RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) takes place in Ljubljana tomorrow, 18 April. If you wish to attend, please register as soon as possible. Online registration will remain open until 16:00 (UTC +2) on Wednesday, 18 April. Registration ------------ You can register to attend the GM at: http://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/april-2012/registration Resolutions ----------- There are two resolutions to be voted on at the GM: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/april-2012/agenda The supporting documents for the GM are available at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/april-2012/supporting-documents Documents will be available to RIPE NCC members on the day of the GM, but we ask that you read them prior to the meeting. Executive Board Election ------------------------ An election will take place to fill one seat on the RIPE NCC Executive Board. The confirmed candidates are listed at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/april-2012/confirmed-candidates Voting Period ------------- The voting period will begin at Agenda point 10 during the GM and will remain open until 14:00 (UTC +2) on Thursday, 19 April 2012. The extended voting period will give members in all time zones in the RIPE NCC service region adequate time to cast their votes. Electronic Voting Registration ------------------------------ You can register to vote for electronic voting until 18:00 (UTC +2) today. You must register in the BigPulse system and send a copy of your photographic ID to <agm(a)ripe.net> to complete the process. If you sent a copy of your ID for a previous GM, you just need to email <agm(a)ripe.net> to let us know and this will complete the registration process. The email to access the electronic voting registration system will be resent to all those who have yet to register today, Tuesday, 17 April. The voting procedure, for those voting on site and for those voting electronically, is outlined at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/april-2012/voting-procedure The results will be announced at 15:45 (UTC +2) on Thursday, 19 April. Remote Participation -------------------- The GM will be broadcast live to members via webcast. A chat facility will also be provided for those wishing to join the discussion online. The same service will be provided for the announcement of the results on Thursday, 19 April. An email inviting members to view the GM will be sent prior to the meeting. This will contain instructions on how to log in to the chat facility. If you have any questions on the GM or the voting procedure, please email <agm(a)ripe.net>. For those attending the RIPE Meeting in Ljubljana, Fergal Cunningham from the RIPE NCC will be at the Info Hub from 14:00 - 18:00 today to answer questions about the GM, and to help people to register to vote electronically and to register to attend the GM. The GM Registration Desk is open on site from 10:00 - 17:00 (UTC +2) on Wednesday, 18 April. Once you have registered, we ask that you pick up your meeting pack and voting slips as early as possible. Dear colleague, RIPE 64 takes place next week from 16-20 April in the Grand Hotel Union Executive in Ljubljana. ====================================== Early-Bird Discount Expires on Friday ====================================== Please note that the early-bird discount (EUR 50) ends on Friday at 15:00 UTC. So please register and pay before that time if you would like to make use of the discount. The ticket costs EUR 400 if you pay at the meeting. Day tickets are available for EUR 125 and week student tickets are available for EUR 175. No early bird discounts apply to these tickets. Introducing the RIPE NCC Report Form

Using this form, you can now easily report various issues, including abnormalities in Internet number resource registrations, to us for further investigation. By making it easy to report these issues to us and by putting a clear process in place, we aim to work together with you to further improve the quality of the data in the Internet number resource registry. The first release of the form offers basic functionality. We will review the form, its usage and your feedback before deciding whether further development is needed in the future.
