There is nothing the RIPE can do about it because those messages are sent to you and not the mailing list. Anybody who has read access to the list can fetch your email address and send those.
RIPE NCC can do things to verify who has setup auto-responders to the mailing list and contact those users or unsubscribe them. Actually, they have said numerous times that they have or are working on a solution for this..
And where is the problem really? Is it so hard to instruct your MUA to filter them?
Yes, the e-mail addresses auto responding keep changing all the time. Every time I send an e-mail to this mailing list I get between 3-4 and a dozen e-mails. If they can not maintain a clean mailing list for the members, they should move this to a forum or something that can be kept clean. @RIPE NCC... do you plan to answer to any of my e-mails? Dear Elvis, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Members-discuss is an opt-in mailing list, and on the subscription page we do ask people not to subscribe automated ticketing system addresses to the mailing list. The email addresses that sent auto-replies to this list were unsubscribed shortly after complaints were received, and we contacted the account holders to update their email subscriptions. We will continue to unsubscribe auto-responders or ticketing systems on this mailing list. And yes, working on a more permanent solution is something we want to do and we will investigate options here and see what level of development would be required. This is included in our Activity Plan for 2021. Until we can implement something to address this fully, please report these cases to <ncc@ripe.net> and we will address them.
