Hi, yes, it's somewhat about politics, anyway... don't call this brainwashing. I'm not happy with certain decisions and behaviors, but these have some historic background and we should discuss that *topics* / particular *problems* we're observing and ways to correct some historic decisions... that massive hijacks (and tons of emails about nothing we received) I strongly support current moderation on this list. So, please let's return to discussion about these topics and problems - it doesn't make any sense discuss here about involved persons, their powers, relations to other organisations etc. And it's fine, if more peoples are involved in voting. We're community, and NOGs are perfect place to inform and involve more people in decision process - as not all people have time to read these (long) discussions over emails... - Daniel On 7/24/20 5:17 PM, Elad Cohen wrote:
John,
You represent the very bad group which is controlling RIPE and trying to manipulate future votes with disinformation.
At the last days of registration for votings, there was a massive registration for votings from a few very specific countries, like a lot of brainwashing was done there, in their *NOG groups (like the brainwashing that you are trying to do now), so actually if we remove them - I represent much more than 15% of the RIPE community.

Hi Elad,
telling a wrong story on and on again does not make it right.
The number of given votes reflect the people who had time and were interested to vote. Not more not less. Every else interpretation is misleading and simply wrong.
I was not voting since I was ill at that time. But be assured I will join the next election even with fever!
And sorry for saying: Elad, you will not get my vote!
This is a completely time wasting discussion and I urge all members to vote next time to put this list back in order again.
Sorry for wasting your time, but I could not keep calm anymore.
Best regards,
John

Mr. Doering,
The actual voters are reflecting the whole RIPE community, hence nearly 4000 members are supporting me.
And I did receive more votes than the initial votes of the elected #3 and only because the voting system that elected #1 can ask his voters who to support in the next seats, the elected #3 was elected.
Kind Regards,
Elad

15% of the votes registered. Since not all members voted, this is WAY less than "4000 members supporting you".
(I tried to stay out of this, but this is factually wrong and gives the impression that there is large support for Mr. Cohen, which there wasn't. Some protest voters always vote "against the regime!", and of course they are free to do so)
Gert Doering -- NetMaster -- have you enabled IPv6 on something today...?
