Which is, to a certain extent, a requirement.
But that's not the real issue, I don't mind people knowing my name, I just want a world where NOC and Abuse contacts aren't be spammed with sales pitches constantly.

Only if you have entered them in the RIPE DB on objects. (fx. person, abuse, update etc.)
