Max's idea is absolutely right.
Frankly, I would go even further, proposing to RIPE to organize a collection of money from the other members (we will participate) to cover - as much as possible - the expenses of the Ukrainian ISPs.
Or use also part of the surplus payments, since every year the annual fee is reviewed.

It is very important in this historical moment that Ukraine continues to have access to the Internet.
I also hope that Russia will not be disconnected because people MUST be informed about the horrors of war and therefore I am in total agreement with the RIPE board and its statement regarding unimplemented sanctions against Russia.

It has nothing to do with politics but it is a matter of civil society.

Hi All,

as you now there is a huge russian military invasion in Ukraine.

The communications, especially Internet access, is one of the most
important things during this time.

Unfortunately, almost all ISPs facing with a financial impact of war
because of non-payment crisis. A thousand of Euros is a huge money now
even for big companies.

I think it is a good idea to support Ukrainian ISPs and postpone
payments for LIR for them until the end of the war.

Please, do support of this proposal.
