Hello Alexey, all, Please allow me to comment on the relevant procedures. 1. Whilst we cannot prevent people from submitting fraudulent documents to us, we do follow extensive due diligence processes, which include validation checks, in order to confirm the actual existence of an entity or person. Should the provision of untruthful information be uncovered, we would commence proceedings to terminate that account in accordance with the procedural document "Closure of Members, Deregistration of Internet Resources and Legacy Internet Resources" available at: https://www.ripe.net/publications/docs/ripe-640#a122g However, I would like to reiterate Axel's confirmation that the case under discussion has been carefully reviewed and that we requested and received the documentation required to ensure the existence of the organisation and to prove the identity of the person signing the Standard Service Agreement. 2. There is no policy or procedure requiring a RIPE NCC member's postal address and phone number to be in the same country. Members can provide any contact information they choose as long as it can be used to contact them for administrative purposes. If you would like to report incorrect contact information in the RIPE Database, you can make use of the RIPE NCC Reporting procedure: https://www.ripe.net/support/contact/reporting-procedure Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you for a quick reply and comments. It is good that procedures were followed, however 2 questions are still unclear for me.
1. Did you made any efforts to validate submitted documents? As i mentioned - i cant find matched records in the registries. Does it mean that RIPE NCC will accept any possibly spoofed documents sent by members?
2. We should respect the privacy of others, and in this case I have a question regarding data quality in RIPE DB, not a membership info:
inetnum: 185.106.128.0 - 185.106.131.255 netname: RU-DNR-20150626
organisation: ORG-OISI2-RIPE org-name: "Center of Internet services in DNR" org-type: LIR address: Shevchenko str. 31 address: 83000 address: Donetsk address: RUSSIAN FEDERATION
With the high probability the contact data is invalid, and that mean the violation of section 4.0 of IPv4 allocation policy (RIPE-643):
Only allocations and assignments registered in the RIPE Database are considered valid. Registration of objects in the database is the final step in making an allocation or assignment. Registration data (range, contact information, status etc.) must be correct at all times (i.e. they have to be maintained).
Did RIPE NCC consider the contact information as valid? Is there a procedure to report wrong contacts?
