while I simpatize and agree with you, I think the issue here is that the RIPE NCC is refusing to register an LIR or even talk to a member because his e-mail address does no longer match NCC’s today’s invented rule.

What will it be tomorrow? Will we all have to have name.surname@domain.tld or the NCC will refuse to communicate with us?

The irony, the e-mail he received came from ncc@ripe.net, lir-help@ripe.net, hostmaster@ripe.net or an other generic e-mail address.

Can someone at the NCC tell us when and (most importantly) why was this procedure changed? Why add a ridiculous restriction?
