Hi all,
It may be looks like a Friday joke, but it is real:
naaah, just a "I want to be ru.dnr instead of ua.dnr", so put down Russian Federation in the application. From what I've gathered online this is an ukrainian post code and telephone number. Just how this has escaped RIPE NCC and what kind of paperwork is supporting this registration is what should be asked inside RIPE. If anybody in charge wants to stay out of hot waters, write down "disputed ukrainian territory", but the LIR code "ua.dnr" would be no escape of discussion with the representative of "ru.dnr". We can't solve this here, nor the case, neither the territorial conflict. Please keep to the list guidelines, otherwise we import the conflict to this list. But thanks for bringing this to our attention! Matthias

What the documents were provided for LIR registration? The certificate issued by Sealand Principality or what?
Are there any kind of due diligence on the incoming documents? Human check? Not sure.
