Dear RIPE NCC member, The RIPE NCC Executive Board is pleased to invite you to the RIPE NCC Autumn General Meeting (GM) 2009. The GM will be held on Wednesday, 7 October 2009 from 16:00 - 20:00. It will be held adjacent to the RIPE 59 Meeting, which takes place from 5-9 October 2009 at the Corinthia Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal. The GM will consist of two parts: - The RIPE NCC Services Working Group will begin at 16:00 and will include the presentation of the Report from the RIPE NCC. This part of the GM is open to everyone. - The second part of the GM follows immediately after and is only open to RIPE NCC members who have registered for the GM. This part of the meeting is the forum where RIPE NCC members can discuss the operations and activities of the RIPE NCC and exercise their voting rights. More information about the GM is available at: https://www.ripe.net/membership/gm/gm-october2009/ REGISTRATION ------------ You must register for the GM separately from the RIPE 59 Meeting. As a member you can attend both the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session and the members-only section of the GM without being registered for RIPE 59. See below for further information on the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session. You can register for the GM online at: https://portal.ripe.net/web/gm-oct09/registration Please complete the online registration form by 2 October 2009. In the event that your organisation is to be represented by a director or an authorised employee, the registration form should state the name(s) of the employee(s) or director(s). If more than one authorised person is to attend the GM, please specify on the registration form who is allowed to exercise the voting rights. If your organisation is to be represented by a third party, not being an authorised employee or director, please fill out the proxy form and send it to us by 23 September 2009. Any proxy sent to us after this date will not be valid. The proxy form is available to download here: https://www.ripe.net/membership/gm/gm-october2009/proxy.html Report from the RIPE NCC ------------------------ The Report from the RIPE NCC presentation will be given during the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session during RIPE 59, which constitutes the first part of the GM. GM attendees who have not registered for the RIPE Meeting are welcome to participate in this working group session. This takes place on Wednesday, 7 October 2009 from 16:00 - 17:30, immediately before the members-only section of the GM. The Report from the RIPE NCC presentation will not be repeated in the members-only section of the GM. Voting and Resolutions ---------------------- Candidate members are welcome to attend the GM but are not permitted to vote according to article 16.7 of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association. Full members who are not able to attend the GM but still want to vote can do so by means of proxy voting as per article 16. Please also note that the GM can only pass resolutions that have been submitted and published according to article 15 of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association. [ncc-announce] LIR Portal Downtime: Incident Report

Dear Colleagues, LIR Portal service has now been restored. The LIR Portal, along with several other RIPE NCC online services, was unavailable from 06:30 - 08:30 (UTC), 9 September 2009. The outage was caused by a faulty switch. We have performed emergency patching to fix the problem for now. A replacement switch will be installed this afternoon between 15:00 - 16:00 (UTC). A five-minute interruption to service is expected when we make this change. We apologise for the inconvience this may have caused for you. We are currently working on a project to migrate the LIR Portal to a new architecture, with improved redundancy, which, when implemented, will reduce the likelihood of such events. Dear Colleagues, We regret to inform you that the LIR Portal service has been unavailable since this morning, 06:30 (UTC), 9 September 2009. We are currently working to fix the problem. The cause of the outage is not yet known, though it is not related to service outage that occurred yesterday. We will provide further details once the issue has been resolved. Could anybody point me to discussion archive or any sorce, except charging-scheme-2010.pdf, where discussed my question: "Why PA allocation size and year of allocation takes into account while LIR's score calculation and, in the same time, PI assignment size and year of assignment does not?"
