Thanks to Brian and Thank You to the working group for the support. A big welcome to Massimo and Stephen who I fully support as well. I look very much forward to working with you! Cheers Nina On Thu, Apr 14, 2022 at 3:46 PM Stephen Strowes <s@sdstrowes.co.uk> wrote:
Agreed: thanks to Brian for running the process, and thanks to the WG for the support.
It may have appeared self-serving to engage during the discussion phase but, for the record, I fully support both Nina and Massimo as co-chairs. I'm looking forward to working with both!
Cheers,
S.

I believe we’re ready to call consensus on this question.
We have support for appointing Massimo Candela, Stephen Strowes, and Nina Bargisen as chairs of MAT WG. Congratulations to the new chairs!
I note that our process of record doesn’t say anything about *when* this change will be effective, so the incoming, continuing, and outgoing chairs will meet to manage logistics (and finish putting together the program for our meeting in Berlin next month).
Many thanks, cheers,
Brian

Greetings, all,
I will be calling consensus on this point tomorrow, but looking over the feedback received during (and before) the comment period, I see a few themes emerging I’d like to get some feedback on before making that call:
(1) Support for all three candidates. (2) A desire for new ideas and new energy in the group of chairs (which, as one responsible for the keeping-the-lights-on “sogg[iness]”, especially over the pandemic years, I wholeheartedly endorse). (3) At least one question as to why and whether we can’t have three chairs (which we can).
Given these themes, and explicitly asking the community to check my own biases here, I’d like to ask the community if there is support and consensus for appointing all three candidates (Massimo Candela, Stephen Strowes, and Nina Bargisen) as co-chairs of the RIPE MAT WG.
Thanks, cheers,
Brian

Greetings, all,
The call for interested parties is now closed. Thank you to our candidates (in order of received statement of interest):
- Massimo Candela - Stephen Strowes - Nina Bargisen
This opens the call for discussion on the candidates; the current chairs will call consensus on 12 April.
Many thanks, cheers,
Brian (MAT WG co-chair)

Greetings, all,
As a reminder, this call for interest to co-chair MAT-WG is open until next Monday; please send a note to the list if you’re interested in volunteering as a co-chair. I’ve seen statements of interest from Massimo Candela and Stephen Strowes so far.
Thanks, cheers,
Brian (MAT WG co-chair)
