While reviewing RIPE-160: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-160.html for a customer, the customer asked me "Where does it state that RIPE will keep all the information provided confidential? The info provided in the RIPE-160 - form as well as RIPE-141 has very confidentail info." I reviewed as well http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-173.html - The General Terms and Conditions and no place does it state that the information provided by the new LIR will be treated in confidentiality. I must be missing it among the various RIPE docs. Please point me to the correct one. Thanks, Hank

Dear Hank, indeed, after having reviewed a number of documents involved, I agree that a broad confidentiality statement should be included in the Terms & Conditions, RIPE-173, to warrant higher visibility. Confidentiality is mentioned in RIPE-185, http://www/ripe/docs/ripe-185.html#toc69, though, which is part of the Standard Service Agreement. Thank you for pointing this out. cheers, Axel
