That's probably the best approach, *if* it's done right. Internic PGP authentication has a really bad track record of (mostly) not working as expected. Did whois.internic.net work at all today? *sigh* Though I think it's way easier (as a first step) to discuss about auth: being mandatory or any such thing. If you transfer domains, it's nice to have the same handle, sure, but as we've seen it has some *major* drawbacks (sp?). I think a mntner object with an email as authentication would suffice for something like this not happening again.. Though good old PGP would be nice. But then there's the question whether to support PGP 5 (please, don't <eg>) or GNU PG or...
