Those person objects that bear "mnt-by: DENIC-P" attribute were referenced from *.de domain objects before the latter were migrated. (We still keep *.de domains on our backup server so we were able to check this).

Yes, I expected that. However, it is my claim that almost all the references I sent you are in fact *not* reflecting the actual real-world situation, and that these references are therefore in all probability erroneous. That was what I meant when I said that the data in the RIPE DB has decayed. - Håvard
