I just tried to create an X.509.PKI cert, using ie version 5, when I have selected ie as the browser, it then comes up with a popup for the 'cryptographic provider' that is empty, and the button to generate certificate gives an error - Object doesnt support this property or method 'encoder.HashAlgorithm'
The offending line is :-
encoder.HashAlgorithm = "MD5"
Any ideas ???
This is a known error of IE. Microsoft Hotfix Q323172 or equivalent is required to use IE to request your certificate. See Microsoft Security Bulletin MS02-048 for details. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS02-048.asp Please proceed with caution - RIPE NCC does not assume any responsability over the consequences of applying this patch.
