Right. - as "multihoming without an AS number", it's some weird thing
that has its place, but doesn't buy you much in the long run.
well. multihoming with private AS also could work. Combined with Conditional Announcement, it's a really useful possibility.
(As for your example with the IX - this could be done without globally visible space just fine, it's not "multihoming")
Well. IX space & DNS space is "IMHO" a special case which cannot be used on corporate or business isp. We need some clean-up in the "special" cases. Swamp Space, pre-RIR phases and more...
