The European Internet Registry System

Dear IRs, we are about to circulate the long overdue revisions of ripe-72 and ripe-85. Shortly there will also be a new document titled "The European Internet Registry System" giving general information about the European Internet Registry framework. This will be targeted to give new people background information and explain terminology: IR, regional IR, Local IR: provider, last-resort ... Assuming there is general consensus about the content I would like to publish those documents by December 6th. Otherwise they will have to wait until the January RIPE meeting. I hope this won't be necessary though because the old docs are really in need of revision. Daniel
