What does "published" mean in this context?
Published as an RFC.
In any case, my greatest concern with this RFC is that it completly ignores the discussion of a common problem: acquistion and mergers of companies. This is -not- an uncommon occurence and the new scheme will nearly guarantee conflicts in such a case.
I haven't heared about mergers of companies of any size yet where the internal networks of the merging companies were totally integrated immediately after the merger. Usually this process -if done at all- Involves considerable planning and re-engineering. Conflicts in this case are also not serious at the moment of the merger as the public parts of both networks can communicate before and after the merger. Daniel
