Short content description
-------------------------
At the last RIPE Meeting (RIPE 27), the Local IR Working Group
requested several changes/additions to be made to the ripe-140
document. Ripe-159 is the revised version of this document.
The requested changes were:
1) Adding a few sentences to section 7 about returning AS numbers.
2) Adding a reference in section 3.5 to rfc2008 recommendations for
the time allowed for renumbering.
3) Changing the wording in section 6.3 about confidentality to make it
stronger.
4. Updating section 6.2 about the local-ir and lir-wg mailing lists,
because local-ir is now moderated.
Aside from these requested changes, we have also made some minor
improvements here and there- to clarify the wording, or add a better
example, or update some information that has changed. For example,
section 6 previously said that <billing(a)ripe.net> does new registry
set-up, however that is now done by <ncc(a)ripe.net>. Also, the RIPE NCC
is now using an improved reverse delegation robot, so section 5 had to
be updated in some places.
