Agenda for the IPv6 Working Group Meeting RIPE42
Below follows the agenda for the ipv6 wg. After my request for topics on the list, I got quite some requests for topics to be covered and even some people who offered to do presentations. I am very glad that I received all these offers and I hope that we will be able to cover them all in the limited time that we have available. Due to time limitations I have dropped the 'Status of the 6bone' repport from the agenda, and due to lack of volunteers for a presentation I also dropped the 'DNS and IPv6 - issues and current BCP: draft-ietf-dnsext-ipv6-addresses-01.txt' topic. I hope to see you all at the meeting next week, David K. --- Agenda for the IPv6 Working Group Meeting RIPE42 Wednesday May 1st, 2002, 14:00 - 17:30, Amsterdam 1st slot A. David, others, | Below follows the agenda for the ipv6 wg. Thanks. Skimming through this, I'd like to jump in: | J. Developments/initiatives regarding IPv6 in the RIPE region and beyond | (input from the audience) here ;-), because I have some ideas on promotional activities within the AMS-IX and NLIP members, the basic outline was mailed last week. I should need no more than 8 minutes to briefly introduce the following: * An IPv6-awareness day for AMS-IX members, with a handson training on how to connect to this particular IX * An IPng-alike tunnelbroker for the RIPE region, for those searching the 6bone for preliminary connectivity before starting a production network. groet, Pim -- ---------- - - - - -+- - - - - ---------- Pim van Pelt Email: pim@ipng.nl http://www.ipng.nl/ IPv6 Deployment -----------------------------------------------

I have added this to my list of additional items. We already have a quite busy agenda, so I cannot promise that we will indeed be able spend time on this. David K. ---
how about a report about *actual* v6 traffic volume as compared to v4? what's *real* out there, not what's on powerpoint? randy

good idea. if somebody has any interesting data to share, please let me know. Also, I keep a list of items for the agenda of the meeting after this meeting, and I will see if I can approach some people who can talk about this very topic at the Greece meeting. David K. ---
Can you add the lbnamed bug discussion (cf Itojun's messages)? And ask for two minutes in the DNS WG and/or the plenary. Thanks Francis.Dupont@enst-bretagne.fr

I have added this to my list of additional items, we have very limited time, so we might not be able to cover this topic though.

If you want two minutes in the DNS wg, you should ask it on the dns-wg list or it's chairperson. I hope this helps, David K. ---
