MarcoH Thnx Marco.
To re-state what I said on the mike during the IPv6 WG meeting: ----- I'm already a BCOP TF co-chair and I have no idea how would co-chairing two groups work, but in case of *lack* of good candidates I suspect we might make it work somehow and I could also serve as a co-chair of IPv6 WG - but please consider other better candidates/volunteers first. ----- Cheers, Jan Zorz
Jan, we want you! Jan, we want you! Jan, we want you! Jan, we want you! Jan, we want you! Jan, we want you! Jan, we want you! [Crowd shouting your name with big noise and screaming and an drummer giving the beat via stadium sized speakers] No choice. Sorry. :-P F. Am 15.05.2014 14:21, schrieb Jan Zorz @ go6.si:

You already doing ISOC, Go6.si, RIPE PC, RIPE BCOP, working on RIPE-554bis, working on the IPv6 document for helpdesks and probably so many other wonderful things to promote IPv6. Make sure you can handle the workload. We don't want to lose you because of burnout! ;-) Cheers, and thank you for making so much your scarce time available to this community! Sander

Hey, You are probably right, but your (and other similar comments that I received during the week) makes me think that I did not clearly enough stated, that I'm volunteering as a backup, "gateway last resort" - in case nobody else (or too less people) volunteers. But now we've got 3 very good candidates - Jen, Dave and Benedikt - and I think we should rotate them in. Cheers, Jan

OTOH, this is the IPv*6* working group. 2 existing chairs, 4 new candidates, make a really nice number... Gert Doering -- NetMaster -- have you enabled IPv6 on something today...? Nice one :) cheers, Jan
Thanks Marco for starting the thread! I'd like to volunteer for this role and I'd be happy to do my best to help the WG, the community and the global IPv6 deployment ;) On Thu, May 15, 2014 at 12:58 PM, MarcoH <marcoh@marcoh.net> wrote:

I would like to support the nomination of Jen Linkova. I think she would be an excellent co-chair. As I have learned Jen, she has an in-depth knowledge of the IPv6 protocol, and also knows of deployment and operational issues (why things don't work as expected). She is curious and investigating, and an energetic person to collaborate with. Regards, -- Benno On 15/05/14 14:36, Jen Linkova wrote:

Hi again, after Shane, and to some degree Sander, convinced me that my not-so-ISP background might actually be useful, I volunteer too---on the condition that this is for the IPv6 working group only and *not* for address policy or cooperation or so:-) Cheers, Benedikt -- Benedikt Stockebrand, Stepladder IT Training+Consulting Dipl.-Inform. http://www.stepladder-it.com/ Business Grade IPv6 --- Consulting, Training, Projects BIVBlog---Benedikt's IT Video Blog: http://www.stepladder-it.com/bivblog/
Thanks, Marco! Yourself, Shane and David have kept this WG in such good order - I'll also be delighted to help if I can.
