Mimimum allocation sizes
Hi there, Quick question which google can't seem to find an answer, can anybody tell where I can find a list of IPv6 blocks managed by the different registries and what the minimum allocation size is. I'm specifically looking for those blocks which contain allocations smaller then a /32. I've traced down RIPE and ARIN, but the other three seem to be hard to find. TIA, MarcoH

APNIC: http://www.apnic.net/db/min-alloc.html LACNIC: http://www.lacnic.net/en/registro/ (according to that document it's all /48 though) For Afrinic I can only find this: https://lists.afrinic.net/pipermail/rpd/2007/000420.html Bernhard

Thanks, I guess the real proof will be when I apply these new filters :) Groet, MarcoH

They are making some allocations, though. And of course using the same harmful reservation mechanism that the other RIRs implemented without a policy created by the policy development mechanism. http://www.bgpexpert.com/v6micro.php

For AfriNIC the minimum allocation size is available at: "Number Resources Held by AfriNIC" http://www.afrinic.net/Registration/resources.htm Thanks. - a.
This document provides some very useful information on IPv6 allocation globally. http://www.nro.net/news/nro-response-to-itu.html

Hello, In the RIPE region there will be/is IPv6 PI available. This is with an allocation that is at least a /48. Hope this is useful for you. Regards, Mark PS.: if you reply remove or the ipv6-wg email address or remove my email address. I will read the messages on the ipv6-wg mailing list. -----Original Message----- From: ipv6-wg-admin@ripe.net [mailto:ipv6-wg-admin@ripe.net] On Behalf Of Marco Hogewoning Sent: woensdag 8 juli 2009 14:33 To: ipv6-wg@ripe.net Subject: [ipv6-wg] Mimimum allocation sizes Hi there, Quick question which google can't seem to find an answer, can anybody tell where I can find a list of IPv6 blocks managed by the different registries and what the minimum allocation size is.
