True. However, keep in mind that this was true for the main ESSID "ripemtg" this year too: People with devices that didn't support 5GHz had to connect to the secondary ESSID.
Good point. And if we assume that people have chosen 2.4GHz network mostly due to the lack of 5GHz support, then (according to the stats provided at the Friday plenary session) the number of such users is about twice as big as the number of Android users.
