In response to our request on the list we are glad to announce that we have 2 interested candidates: [...] They will send in their personal motivations and backgrounds to this list soon. some of you might already know me as RIPE meeting attendee and part of the community.
Since RIPE56 in Berlin I attended most of the RIPE meetings and I'm doing a lot of networking on the meetings. In the past I have not been very active in the IPv6 WG, but only attended the sessions and talked to some people. IPv6 is a very interesting topic for me and something that I've been dealing with for almost 20 years now. I'd like to support the IPv6 WG with everything that has to be done on the mailing list, in preparation to the sessions on the RIPE meetings and of course during the sessions.
I am 46yo and live in Berlin. In 2004 I did my first IPv6 configurations at the non-commercial ISP IN-Berlin e.V. where I am member of the board since 2001. Some years ago IN-Berlin also built Community-IX as a sponsored transit exchange for non-commercial organizations in Germany. In the past I have been working as a network engineer and team lead for a big german hosting company named STRATO for nearly 14 years and introduced IPv6 there together with Wilhelm Boeddinghaus, who will also be known to many people on this list. Since 2019 I am working as a network consultant for system.de and support our subsidiary Route 128 with my IPv6 knowledge.
I would be happy to be one of the co-chairs of the IPv6 working group ;-) I would like to support Christian`s election as a co-chair for the IPv6 WG.
Kind regards, Christoph
