Dear Bernhard, As being in charge of Cisco EMEA IPv6 Technology program, I would like to clarify your statment below. It is true that today Cisco is providing in Europe, a Cisco IOS image supporting IPv6 currently based on IOS 11.3.(2)T to selected customers from academic and ISP sites under Non Disclosure Agreement. But so far, we don't expect to provide general availability of IPv6 for production network before sometimes in CY99. This will be based on Cisco IOS 12.0T but certainly not for IOS 12.0.(1)T. We may also have an easier access for the same selected customers through our web but we are still finalizing it. If you have a special need for our current IPv6 image and you are based in Europe which is obviously the case, you may send me an e-mail. Best regards Patrick

I do not know if cisco announced this on an official list - but I got the information about a new Version of their IOS supporting IPv6 in a "public" release with no beta-status.
The new IOS 12.0 will be out in mid-november.
