Hi list members, i worked with nav the last three months in an environment with many vlans. With the virtual appliance you only have to prepare your files for the seed database. The whole process can be done in one day - in my experience. The results including prefixes, network map, ... are worth the effort. that's what I meant. It has a whole pile of interesting features, but if all you want is ND monitoring *only*, then it may be overkill.
